Company History:

In the early 1990's, Chris Young introduced commercial flooring products and services as a new division of Office Environments of Asheville, a well-established office furniture dealership in Western North Carolina. We offer innovative, high quality, and consistently professional flooring solutions to Office Environment's wide range of clients-corporate, healthcare, institutional, government and hospitality.

Office Environments selected Milliken and Company as their primary partner, and in 1995, purchased the very first MilliCare Commercial Carpet Care franchise. This new franchise allowed Office Environments to provide customized carpet and furniture maintenance programs for their commercial customers.

Achieving immediate success with this new concept, Office Environments and Chris partnered with experienced professionals in opening 5 additional franchises, named Modular Designs, located in Jacksonville and Orlando, Florida and in Nashville, Knoxville and Memphis, Tennessee.

Each franchise location provides the total flooring solutions offered by Milliken and Company-carpet, installation, carpet recycling, furniture "lifting" to accommodate carpet replacement in occupied spaces, entryway mats, and maintenance for flooring and furniture.

Modular Designs locations have consistently been measured among the leaders in growth, innovation, and customer service throughout Millicare's 80 + locations. They have also been recognized with Millicare's top annual awards including the 2000 Just Imagine Award and the Community Service Award.
